For many women, the thought of losing their hair is more frightening than their diagnosis, whether it is due to chemotherapy, alopecia, thyroid conditions, or other medical conditions.
It was the most upsetting part of cancer treatment for me, but the challenge of disguising my hair loss became the most creative and positive aspect of that journey.
When I lost my hair during chemo, my skin was too sensitive for a wig. I was inspired by the beauty, creativity and multicultural variety of head wraps and scarves.
As I experimented with wrapping and received so many compliments, it boosted my energy and self esteem during a time when I was afraid I would lose my identity. I wanted to create a simple design to share the positive, colorful experience with other women.
The result was Titillating Turbans, a hat and scarf set with endless possibilities to suit your personal style.Unlike some “chemo hats” you will enjoy these with or without your own hair or a wig.
Titillating Turbans®are created for you with tender loving care, to help you look as beautiful as we know you are.
You
will look elegant during any stage of your hair loss and regrowth. Even
after breast cancer surgery, when it is difficult to lift your arms,
they are quick and easy to wear. If you have a portacath beneath your
collarbone, you'll be happy to know that the "tails" of the band are
long enough to cover it, so you can wear your scoop neck tops and stay
cool!
My wish for you is that you will enjoy Titillating Turbans throughout your recovery time, and for many healthy years to come.
Wishing you vibrant health,
Laurie Andreoni
About Titillating Turbans
If you can tie a simple knot, you can tie a turban and scarf head wrap. You can tie and wrap the scarf in any position around the hat, or wear the hat or scarf wrap alone.Experiment with the two pieces – the head wraps look great without hair, and with your own hair, a wig or hairpiece. To get you started, see the dozens of different Styling Ideas and the short step-by-step Videos.
